The Viet Nam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) wants to team up with other domestic milk producers to counter pressure from foreign businesses.
Efforts to stabilise milk prices have succeeded to an extent, but
concerned agencies continue to face difficulties in carrying out this
task, a Finance Ministry official says.
In late April the finance ministry examined the country''s five largest
formula milk producers and decided to cap the prices of the 25 most
popular products in an attempt to protect consumers.
Viet Nam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) plans to invest
in a milk factory in the US, according to the company''s chairwoman Mai
Kieu Lien.
